THE CHAPEL | ATHENS, GEORGIA | WEDDING DAY

Oh. my. GOSH!!! This wedding will go down as one of my ALL TIME FAVORITES!! I will go ahead and warn you that I could not narrow down my favorites for this blog, so it’s massive!! There are so many sweet moments, unique details and amazing stories to share about this one! Not to mention getting to work at one of my favorite wedding venues, The Chapel, in downtown Athens, Georgia!

You may remember Alyse and Aston from their engagement session in the fall – I could tell instantly that they were made for each other and that I was going to love their wedding day!

It was the perfect spring day – sun shining, flowers blooming and birds chirping. We arrived at the ladies’ AirBnB down the street from the venue to begin with details and getting ready!

Her wedding dress was so unique!! I’m obsessed!

Her bridesmaids were so much fun! They clearly really love her and took great care of the bride all day long!

I always love first looks with dad!

Next, we moved over to the Chapel for their first look!

I am OBSESSED with these! The colors, the light, their look – so beautiful!!

The wind was CRAZY, but it honestly made these look even dreamier than I would have imagined!

Their wedding party was so much fun! I loved these!

Their ceremony florals were GORGEOUS!

This was a sweet tribute to Aston’s mother who passed away a few years ago. Every bridesmaid left a rose on the chair as they entered into the ceremony to honor her memory.

I don’t always get to capture the moments in waiting before the ceremony, but these were fun! This is how relaxed everyone looks when the couple does a first look!

The bride’s brother performed their ceremony which made it extra special!

They are MARRIED!

Cocktail hours at The Chapel are the BEST! This spring weather was perfect. Because they did a first look, they got all of their formal portraits done before the ceremony which means they got to join their cocktail hour! I love when couples do this!

Their reception details were EPIC! Alyse and her team planned this wedding to perfection! I’m loving all this COLOR!! PS – Vendor team and links to their websites are at the bottom of this blog so you can inquire with them!

Can I use the word “epic” again? Because their reception was epic as well! From the sweetest dances to the most heartfelt toasts to the most HYPE dance floor alllll the way to the ending with one of the most unique exits I’ve gotten to photograph!! Seriously, don’t miss the ending – it’s amazing!!

The opening welcome toast from her dad was so sweet! I loved how moved Alyse gets every time one of her people spoke – it was so sweet!

We snuck out for some sunset photos and WOWWWWW!!! I had already shown Alyse some sneak previews (yes, during the reception!!), but I couldn’t resist adding more from sunset portraits once we did these! The light was PERFECT and although, I’ve shot weddings at The Chapel a lot of times, I’ve never gotten some of the spots we got – I’m so in love with these!!

The most FUN exit!!! (And my hair didn’t almost get lit on fire like it does with sparklers?! haha. Brides can we move to this trend because I love it!!)
