DOWNTOWN ATHENS | ATHENS, GEORGIA | ENGAGEMENT SESSION

Get ready to see some of my NEW FAVORITE engagement photos!!!! Chris and Logan’s downtown Athens, GA engagement was so much fun! We started on UGA North Campus and ended with some fun rooftop/skyline photos!

I love when I get to photograph someone from my hometown in South Georgia – Chris and I actually went to the same high school and our moms are friends! Many people from my hometown have a love for the University of Georgia and Athens which means I get to combine hometown with my new home.

When I have my initial phone call with brides, I tell them the engagement sessions are vital for many reasons – you get comfortable in front of the camera, you learn the poses, but most importantly, I get to meet the groom! During this time, I do my best to convince the groom that taking photos will actually be fun, not cheesy or time consuming. Fortunately, in this case, Logan had no hesitations about taking photos and made my job extra easy!

These were some of my faves from the whole session! I love the last half of the session when nerves have diminished, casual outfits are on and I get to see my couples truly relaxed and having fun!

The photographer in me tends to be very bride-focused in most photos, but the boy mom in me knows these kinds of photos are super important! Whether grooms want to be the center of attention for a photo or not, I know their mamas will love these 🙂
