CHOOSING YOUR VENUE | WEDDING PLANNING TIPS

Are you newly engaged and looking for the perfect wedding venue for your wedding day? While every couple’s wedding planning experience will look a little different, there are a few things you can do to ensure you choose the wedding venue of your dreams!

#1 – RESEARCH, RESEARCH, RESEARCH!

This should go without saying that you need to look up several options! Unless you have been to a wedding at a particular venue and you KNOW you loved it, I recommend creating a list of all the possible venues in your area. Google, Pinterest and ask friends for recommendations to be sure your list is complete!

#2 – MAKE A SPREADSHEET

Stay organized about the venue features by creating a spreadsheet! This will help you keep track of the pros and cons of each venue. Some good columns to include are: guest limit, rain plan, bridal suite, etc.

#3 – CHECK OUT THEIR WEBSITE

It seems obvious, but be sure you look at their website to see what the images look like! If you don’t like the look of it online, you might not like it in person either.

#4 – SCHEDULE A TOUR

Don’t skip this step!! Once you’ve narrowed down a few of your FAVORITE options, email them to schedule a tour and view their prices. During your tour, you’ll be able to tell if you like the feel of the location once you’re in it.

#5 – ASK FOR OPINIONS

If you’re still unsure, ask for advice from trusted friends, family members or a wedding professional that could help you make the final choice!
