WOWWWW!!! What an incredibly perfect spring wedding day in Athens, Georgia! I met Sheila and David back in the summer for their Downtown Athens Engagement Session and knew instantly that they were two of the nicest people! Their entire wedding day felt “easy” in the sense that there was peace, no one was rushing and everyone seemed to be enjoying simply spending time together — an ideal wedding day!

We started off the wedding day in the bridal suite at 255 Milledge for their getting ready photos and details! I have loved getting to photograph so many weddings as this venue right in the heart of Athens, Georgia – every time I visit there’s something new!

She looked STUNNING in her dress!!! Wow!!! The perfect elegant, classy look.

I loveeee bridesmaid reveal moments!! I always prep the bridesmaids by saying “whatever you’re feeling inside, show on your face!” These ladies understood the assignment.

Now it’s time for first look with dad and brother!

Next we headed out to the 255 Milledge gardens for their bride and groom first look!

Their wedding party was so much fun!!! This might be an unpopular opinion, but I’ve come to love big wedding party groups!! It could be because I’ve been so fortunate to have groups that are super supportive and helpful, but I really love them – it feels like a true party!

Next are just a few of my favorites from their family portraits – many more coming in the full gallery! They had such a sweet family with a legacy of great marriages that I know Sheila and David have learned from!

One of my favorite things is the little “in between moments”. There was a time in the wedding photography world where we would only show the portraits, but I’ve been loving this shift to the authentic moments!!

They are MARRIED!!!

Cocktail hours at 255 Milledge are the best! The venue is so perfectly setup for this with so many different aesthetically pleasing nooks throughout that guests can grab a drink and chat.

They had a live painter giving guests portraits which was so fun! Check out the list at the bottom for all the vendors you can book for your own wedding!

We snuck out for a few sunset portraits and I LOVE these!!

Next was private cake cutting and champagne toasts! I love when couples choose not to announce these moments to give the opportunity for a more intimate moment with just close family and friends.

Their reception was so much fun!
