4 Personality Traits That Say You Need a Wedding Planner

 

Are you wondering if you should invest in a wedding day planner or not? What do they actually do? I’m pretty organized, do I really need one? If you have any of the personality traits listed below, there’s a good chance you need a full planner!

 

(Note: I recommend EVERYONE get at least a coordinator. A planner helps throughout the planner process, not just on the wedding day)

 

Personality Trait #1: You’re a very thorough researcher.

While some research is important & necessary, if you find yourself needing to research something intensely before making a decision, you likely need some help. You’ve never done this before & you need someone who has helped others make these choices hundreds of times. You will end up spending hours and hours of stress searching for the perfect vendors simply because you’re inexperienced in this arena.

 

Personality Trait #2: You’re a people pleaser/includer.

It’s a good thing that you love your people a lot, however, if you find yourself concerned with their happiness on your wedding day, you may need a planner’s help. A planner can help you make objective decisions that will create the most stress-free, enjoyable wedding day. If you follow the people pleasing mentality, you may end up creating a wedding day all around pleasing other people instead of one you and your fiance will enjoy.

 

Personality Trait #3: You prefer keeping your options open.

Do you have a hard time committing to big things? (Congrats, because committing to marriage is a pretty big deal & you’ve done that!) However, you may end up struggling with officially booking vendors and then finding them to be booked when you’re ready to decide. A planner can help you actually take steps to book vendors you’ll be happy with!

 

Personality Trait #4: You like control.

If you struggle with wanting to be in control, this is a great time to ask for help. Everything in you says you don’t really need it, but you will enjoy your wedding SO MUCH better if you release control to someone else. You can still be in charge of decisions & design, but allowing someone else to actually bring it to life will be super beneficial.
