Wow.. this wedding day was the kind I used to DREAM of getting to shoot one day! From the location to the designs to the couple, it was a fairytale kind of wedding with a fun southern twist!
I met Melissa and Corey in September when it was time for their engagement session. They were getting ready at Melissa’s clothing boutique in downtown Athens called fab’rik and we got to know each other as we walked around Athens! Melissa has the rare combination of meticulous style & down-to-earth personality.. my kind of bride – while Corey has the laid back but willing personality that makes for a great groom!
We started the day at the Farm at High Shoals – a gorgeous villa style venue right outside of Athens in Bishop, Georgia.
I was so excited to see all the SPARKLES in Melissa’s details!! So fun!
Her dress looked absolutely PERFECT on her!
I loved this first look! Corey kept complimenting how pretty she looked (he was right!) & the “realness” of the day started sinking in for Melissa as the tears flowed during this moment!
The Farm at High Shoals is SUCH a beautiful backdrop for Bride & Groom portraits!

Their families are so much fun! Corey and his mom’s dance was to Sweet Child of Mine & they rocked it!
Their sunset portraits were GORGEOUS!!! I loved this time 🙂
