4 Reasons to Invite Less Than 100 Wedding Guests

 

If you’re beginning the wedding planning process, you’ve probably already started imagining the guests you’ll invite. Many couples assume that everyone invites 150-300 guests to their wedding & simply follow suite. However, there are some pretty solid reasons for why having less than 100 guests at your wedding is actually better. 

 

Reason #1: (the most obvious) The Cost

This may or may not be obvious, but each guest costs you extra money. The more guests, the more you’ll spend on your venue (how big it is), chairs, tables, table decor, guest favors, cake, food, table settings, tent size, etc.

 

Less guests means you can spend more on each guest to enhance their experience.

 

Reason #2: Showing Deeper Appreciation

By inviting only 100 guests or less, you’re showing these people you really value their friendship. They mean something special to you & you want them there. When guests arrive at a wedding with hundreds of other guests, it’s easy to discount the impact you actually have on the couple. Some guests may actually assume they got an invite just to get an additional gift!

 

Reason #3: Wayyy Less Stressful

You may not think your guest count will actually affect your level of stress, but it’s so important! The more guests, especially ones you don’t know well, the more pressure to perform. Even if you are the most down to earth human beings, it’s human nature to feel stress when others are watching us.

 

Not only this, but the more guests the higher possibility for issues. Toilets messing up, parking issues, broken items, etc.

 

Reason #4: An Intimate Experience

The weddings with less than 100 guests are noticeable more intimate. The couple is relaxed and able to feel like themselves with everyone. They’re able to simply enjoy the memories they’re creating with their favorite people!
