HAWKSINVILLE, GEORGIA | WEDDING DAY | BRYANT BARN

I hope you’re ready for wedding day photos full of emotions, sweet moments and beautiful colors! Bailee and Jordan’s families are such a close knit group which made for many tears, big feelings and a lot of joy on this perfect wedding day. We traveled south to Hawkinsville, Georgia for this wedding (close to my hometown of Americus!) During my first phone call with Bailee, she said “I remember you from Mackenzie’s wedding, I was assisting with hair and make-up, and I knew I wanted you to be my photographer!” This is the BEST feeling for a photographer.. she let me know in this moment that not only did she love my photos, but that my attitude drew her in first (which is not always easy to maintain on a fast-paced rainy wedding day!) Such a big compliment! We had so much fun during this day and ended it with a bang by visiting Bucee’s for the first time (ha!)

If you’re a bride-to-be and you have had the “What if it rains?” wedding day fear, Bailee can now sympathize with you AND probably tell you it WILL work out. At the beginning of wedding week, her day was saying rain was definitely going to happen, but as we approached the day it lowered to only about 10%… buttttt… about an hour before her outdoor ceremony began, a torrential downpour came. Portraits had to pause, items were being moved quickly to avoid getting wet and we were all wondering if Bailee’s outdoor wedding dream was going to happen. Not to mention her dad worked HARD building her beautiful altar for her outdoor ceremony. Keeping going to see what happened!

We started the day in the bridal suite.. which I should mention the bride’s dad also built along with their reception venue below! Such a talented family 🙂

I got to meet Bailee’s mom early on in the process of wedding planning and I just love their mother-daughter relationship. Angie, her mom, loved getting to lend a hand to help her daughter without ever pushing her own desires or opinions on her – as a parent, I can only imagine how difficult this would be to do!

Bailee never expected to have a dress like this, but her mom asked her to try it on near the end of their wedding dress shopping day and she fell in LOVE! It looked absolutely perfect on her!!

Guys.. if you’ve followed me for any amount of time you know I LOVE first looks, but this one was one of the absolute sweetest!

I loveee these!

Bailee, you looked so beautiful!

Their wedding party was such a fun, close knit group! As you can (maybe) tell, the downpour happened in the middle of these images, so we had to pause until we got an opening to sneak some more portraits in before the ceremony!

After bridal party portraits, we began discussing backup plans, talked about how we would rearrange her portraits and then we had to just wait. There’s nothing more maddening for a wedding photographer than to have to sit and WAIT during portrait time. Yes, we could have taken some underneath the reception venue, but I knew we could get beautiful outdoor portraits later in the day. I checked the weather app just 15 minutes before the ceremony.. it still said 90% chance of rain. Her wedding day team was quickly wiping down chairs for the guests and we started what should have been a messy outdoor ceremony, but guess what?!

With prayer (and the unpredictable Georgia weather).. it didn’t rain?! The SUN even came out during her ceremony! It was truly a miracle and such a sweet moment to watch. Not only did she get her dream ceremony space, but the colors looked even richer than before!

They’re MARRIED!!

Some of the sweetest moments – lots of tears happening!

Their Signature Portraits took place at sunset and they are beautiful! Her dress was amazing for these!

CONGRATULATIONS YOU TWO! Many more coming soon!
