THE CHAPEL | ATHENS, GEORGIA | STYLED SHOOT

Wow.. where to begin?! I am so excited to share this styled shoot with you! A styled shoot is a shoot that is preplanned by vendors to create wedding day theme to showcase – unlike a real wedding day, a styled shoot typically consists of only couples portraits and details! This is a fun way for vendors to collaborate, get to know each other and share a possible wedding design for future brides to get inspiration from!

Several years ago, while working on becoming a full-time photographer, I worked at a corporate office and became friends with my co-worker, Elsa. We talked about our dream businesses that we would work on a create one day and here we are! I’ve been a full-time wedding photographer for 5 years and she’s a wedding planner! We’ve been looking for an opportunity to work together and that’s where this all started!

Next in line, we reached out to the owners of this beautiful new venue in downtown Athens to see if we could collaborate with them and we were so excited when they said yes! We continued to form our dream team and the day was absolutely perfect! Not only was the design gorgeous, but everything ran smoothly – it felt so laid back in comparison to a normal wedding day. (Although I do love the thrill of the crazy wedding day pace!)

We began this rainy spring day with details and venue photos to capture this beautiful space! McKenzie Bone began hair and make-up for our bride model and the day was off to a great start!

Madi, you looked AMAZING!! We were so lucky to have you as our “pretend bride”!

I might need to start shooting more newlyweds because look at how cute they are?!

Gardenia Floral Design set up the most beautiful ceremony space!

This reception design is one of my all time favorites! And brides.. this is your sign to do a champagne tower!!

Next, we switched into the exit outfit from Fabrik in downtown Athens! Some of you may know, I photographed Fabrik’s owner’s wedding in 2020!
