THE FARM AT HIGH SHOALS | BISHOP, GEORGIA | WEDDING DAY

Three words: tea, creativity, sunset. The Farm at High Shoals was the perfect wedding venue for an English Garden style wedding (teatime included)! And if you can believe it, the bride designed her own shoes and made her own getaway dress!! We used it as the background for a few detail photos and it was gorgeous!

I would have never guessed my days as a college ministry intern would collide with my wedding photography world years later. I met Melissa while interning for UGA Wesley Foundation – funny enough, my second shooter (and best friend) even went to Scotland with Melissa on a mission trip! When I told Melissa we would both be there, she was even more excited for out little Wesley-alum reunion 🙂

As you scroll through this blog post, you will notice a few major things.. one is that Melissa & John Ryan are one of the sweetest couples you’ll ever meet. They have been together for over 4 years which meant they were very relaxed with each other the whole wedding day. Another thing.. their entire wedding day felt like a Disney princess dream – which is not accident since they love Disney and are visiting for their honeymoon!!

But lastly, their sunset portraits might be some of my new FAVORITES! By sunset time, I’m always thinking “I feel like I already got great stuff, but it’ll be nice to get a few more”. And then after we do sunset portraits I’m thinking, “Holy cow?! I’m SO GLAD they agreed to take a few minutes out of their reception for this!!!” Her flowy princess dress in the sunset glow made me die and go to heaven!! 🙂

I MEAN?!? The Farm at High Shoals is such a stunningly epic wedding venue to visit. It’s right outside of Athens, GA and was the perfect backdrop for what felt like a royal day.

Such sweet moments! They seem like simple moments if you’re an outsider looking in, but I can only imagine how emotional I will be to see my husband Levi pinning my two boys’ boutonniere on their wedding days!!
