Tori and Matt’s wedding day will always stand out to me as a particularly special day. If you or someone you know is planning a wedding during 2020, you understand the stress of trying to plan a huge event around ever-changing circumstances.

As many of you experienced, May/June were the months when people started getting hopeful again (at least here in Georgia) that life was headed back to somewhat “normal”. That left every July bride surprised when things spiked again and major wedding plans had to be shifted last minute.

Tori and Matt fell into this category and had to be the incredibly difficult decision to notify over half of their guests that they would no longer be able to attend in person for the safety of everyone involved.

However, their entire wedding day was full of peace and JOY! There are so many sweet, unique surprises I get to show you about this wedding day!! (After their ceremony is my favorite!!)

Her dress looked amazing!! I love seeing unique bridal gowns 🙂

Their first look was so sweet! Although they were a little hesitant about doing a first look, they were SO glad they did when it started POURING rain after their ceremony!

Ceremony time!

Before 2020, having a tripod near the aisle would be a big no-no to a photographer, but this one holds a sweet meaning. This is their Facebook Live stream of their ceremony for all the guests that weren’t able to attend! You can see the comments scrolling as they’re saying their vows. It’s a sweet reminder of what really matters on a wedding day!!

THEY’RE MARRIED!

I don’t always get to have these kind of after-the-ceremony photos, but I knew this would be a surreal moment for them! Everyone’s faces say “YOU MADE IT!!”

Tori and Matt’s friends surprised them with a short drive by celebration after their ceremony! They had no idea! We got to lead them to the parking lot area (by saying we were going to start family portraits that way). Tori’s face says it all when she rounded the corner and saw the first few cars!
