You probably already know that not all wedding vendors are created equal, but did you know that not all vendor REFERRALS should be created equal either? A vendor referral means that a vendor you have already booked sends you a list of their preferred vendors or professionals they’ve enjoyed working with in the past.
There are a few really important things to look for & to avoid when making vendor choices.
It’s pretty obvious that we all want wedding vendors who are skilled at what they do, however, that isn’t the only important aspect. It’s a must that they also treat their clients with utmost care.
While the majority of wedding vendors are kind people, sometimes they overbook themselves and aren’t able to provide an excellent experience for you.
The secret formula for a great vendor choice =
Talented + Positive Experiences from Past Couples + your preferred style = a great vendor choice!
While you may be trying to save some money on your wedding day, searching for vendors in a lower price range typically creates this issue. Vendors who are hustling just to make it by at their low prices may have poor communication and a poor attitude (because they’re burnt out).
Obviously this isn’t ALWAYS the case, but it’s more likely.
If you’ve checked out their reviews from past clients and/or heard some reviews from other wedding vendors and they all loved working with them, that’s a great sign! It’s a good idea to chat with certain vendors on the phone to be sure your personalities fit (photographers, planners). Once you’re confident in them as a person & the work they offer, you’re ready to book!
