Are you trying to plan your wedding in a short amount of time? The average bride plans her wedding in about one year, however, it’s totally do-able to plan it faster! You will, however, need a few things to make this happen..

 

Must Have #1: Quick Decision Making Skills

If you struggle with decision making, this may be tough for you. Every wedding planning choice must be made quickly if you’re going to plan your wedding in under 6 months. Stick to a few great options to choose from & have someone help you make quick decisions and keep moving!

Must Have #2: Completed Guest List within 1 month

Creating a guest list can be difficult, however, it needs to be done asap if you’re planning your wedding quickly. You’ll need this number to book your venue and caterer. You’ll also need to get addresses to begin sending save the dates right away!

 

Must Have #3: Dress Appointment Scheduled within 1 month

Did you know that most dress stores don’t actually sell you the dress right in the store? Typically, you’ll have to order your dress and THEN get alterations. Dresses can take between 1-4 months to come in and then you’ll need time for alterations. Be sure to explain your short engagement to the dress store before making an official purchase. They’ll be able to help you get everything ordered and altered in time!

 

Must Have #4: A Team of Organized Helpers

I recommend booking a wedding planner to help you make decisions quickly! They’ll have lists of people they’ve worked with and be able to easily contact them for your day. I also recommend asking your organized friends and family members to help with the research process if they’re willing!
