3 Things Wedding Planners Do That You Don’t Realize

#1: Keep Stressful Questions Away From You

There are a lot of people involved in making your wedding day amazing. These people will all have questions such as “Where should I put my stuff?” “Where should I park?” “Is it okay if___”, etc.

Someone on your wedding day will get asked these questions by your vendors – simply because they need to know! If there isn’t a planner in place to direct and communicate to vendors, guests and family, you will be answering all these questions.

I’ve watched many brides attempt this & it certainly diminishes the experience.

#2: Enable Your Family & Friends to Relax and Enjoy

If the questions aren’t directed to you, they’ll fall to your family or friends who want to help take charge. Very likely, these are the people you wanted to spend your wedding day with, however, they will be missing in action most of the day in attempt to help.

If you want to enjoy your day with your people by your side, you need a professional who doesn’t know everyone calling the shots.

#3: Prevent Actual Disasters You Couldn’t Anticipate

There are so many moving parts to a wedding day. As a bride or family member, you can’t anticipate all the possible things that could go wrong and how to prepare for them. Wedding planners are experienced in preventing disasters. They have likely seen the worst of the worst & have learned how to prevent these issues from coming up on your wedding day.

Before you dismiss this, thinking “it’s okay if things don’t go perfectly”.. consider a few real possibilities. No cell service & guests are lost & late for the ceremony. You forget something at the hotel but it’s time for pictures. It’s ceremony time & the rings are lost. It’s ceremony time & a groomsman is missing.

Planners are pros at preventing these problems.
