Chota Falls | Clayton, GA | Wedding Day

 

Oh my gosh – a white wedding!! Despite the weather forecast, Dani and Kevin remained as calm (and excited!) as ever. As guests entered the gorgeous White Chapel for the ceremony, the snow came down hard. Guests couldn’t help stopping on the porch outside just to stare at how beautiful (and perfect timing) it all was!

 

I love walking in on a wedding day, knowing I’ll use the my same camera, same lighting techniques, BUT the day and the photos will still be entirely different. Every couple is so unique and therefore every day is filled with unique moments and relationships.

 

As the day began, Dani’s girls celebrated and cried over how beautiful she looked in her dress! As Kevin read his letter from Dani, the excited nerves started to build and it was time for the ceremony.

 

About half way through the ceremony, the snow storm kicked in full effect and caused the power to go out. BUT, I gotta be honest, ending their intimate ceremony with candle light and snow falling outside was perfect.

 

Dani & Kevin were daring and trusted me to take them through the weather for their bride and groom portraits and it TOTALLY paid off!! Their portraits are a winter wedding dream!

 

The party continued, the power came back on and the celebration was so much fun!! Dani & Kevin thoughtfully went to say hello to each of their guests, and then made it to the dance floor for the party. Two of my favorite moments from this day were (1) when Dani & her dad danced did the dance from Parent Trap – I could tell how much her dad adores his girl! and (2) the final dance, all of Dani & Kevin’s family joined hands and danced in a circle surrounded by their friends – this was the ULTIMATE celebration of two families becoming one!
